17,000 visitors at the 2nd edition of the Youth Employment Fair

The second edition of the Youth Employment Fair, organized by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa and the City Council’s Youth Department, has concluded its 2nd edition with a total of 17,000 visitors, 7,000 more than the previous edition. On March 22 and 23, the Youth Employment Fair offered various advice points for young people aged 16 to 35, providing them with information and resources to enter the job market, understand their labor rights, and prepare for future selection processes. In total, the Fair offered visitors an itinerary with 8 different areas: Get to Know, Approach, Discover, Jump into the Job Market, Get Advice, Prepare, Share, and Entrepreneurship. Among the 70 Third Sector entities that participated in the Youth Employment Fair, Autoocupació offered an advice space in the ‘Approach’ area, the conference “I am what I want to be” within the ‘Entrepreneurship’ area’s program, and two workshops in the ‘Approach’ area: ‘Play and discover your profession’ and ‘Interview simulator for the tourism and leisure sectors’. In total, 126 activity sessions from 77 different activities were carried out. The Youth Employment Fair, held during Training Week, coinciding with the 30th edition of the Education Fair and the 16th Futura Fair, the masters and postgraduate fair, focused on facilitating the transition from the educational system to the world of work.
