On October 28, the general assembly of the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) was held virtually. This organization encompasses more than 150 organizations, investors, business angel networks, and representative entities of the private investment sector from over 50 countries.

During the meeting, the composition of the organization’s Board of Directors was renewed for the next two years, 2020-2022. Janne Jormalainen, President Emeritus of the Finnish Business Angels Network, was elected as the president of the organization and will lead a board composed of 23 members representing different sectors and European countries.

Albert Colomer, president of Autoocupació and vice-president of the Business Angels Network Catalunya (BANC), has been re-elected as an active member of the Board of Directors. He has been part of the EBAN management team for seventeen years, making him the longest-serving member of the organization’s governing body.

Throughout these years, BANC, founded by Autoocupació, and through the figure of Albert Colomer, has played an active role in the organization’s various events and initiatives. It has worked with the goal of developing the private investment sector and achieving tax incentives to promote business angel investment, as well as interacting with governments to establish channels for public-private co-investment collaboration.
