Business creation

Autoocupació’s Business Creation service has continued to offer personalized and fully subsidized support to entrepreneurs, helping them turn their ideas into solid, future-proof businesses. During 2024, the service assisted 581 entrepreneurs and 103 new businesses were created, generating over 138 jobs. Regarding funding, a total of €488,000 was granted, with 27 specific funding initiatives.   The second edition of La Llançadora, an initiative designed to support individuals who want to start a business, and the “Consolida’t” program, aimed at self-employed individuals, have been developed to help them strengthen their businesses. Additionally, the program Inserta Empleo has continued to offer support to individuals with a disability certificate equal to or greater than 33%, promoting their labor market integration.

Training

Autoocupació’s training service continues to champion professional development as a tool to improve people’s employability. During 2024, 3,690 students attended our courses, accumulating a total of 23,007 hours of training. This training, delivered both in-person and through the Virtual Classroom and Tele-training, has been designed to offer knowledge and skills in various professional sectors. The different courses have also included the option of undertaking internships in companies through Professional Certificates, enhancing participants’ employment opportunities.

Mentoring

The Mentoring service has continued to grow during 2024, establishing 224 new mentoring relationships between entrepreneurs and mentors. In total, 272 entrepreneurs have participated in this service, with 192 mentors who have shared their experience to help consolidate businesses and help them grow. During this period, 219 businesses have been supported, offering personalized support that has been fundamental in helping them overcome challenges and face new business horizons.

Guidance

Autoocupació’s guidance service assisted 2,314 individuals during 2024, dedicating over 5,000 hours to supporting them in their job search or career change process. Thanks to this personalized service, over 30% of the individuals assisted have successfully entered the labor market, demonstrating the effectiveness of this support in improving employment opportunities for people who are unemployed or wish to change professions.

Reempresa

The Reempresa service has been key to preserving businesses in Catalonia. During 2024, 553 successful business transfers were achieved, with over 1,550 jobs saved. This initiative has allowed businesses in difficulty to find a new path through buying and selling, with an induced investment of over 36 million euros. By the end of the year, 854 sellers and 1,462 re-entrepreneurs participated in this business transition process, ensuring the continuity of businesses important to the local economy. With these results, Autoocupació continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, job creation, and labor reintegration.
