Autoocupació, at BizBarcelona and the Employment Fair 2020

September 14, 2020

With the main objective of helping to reactivate entrepreneurship, the business fabric, and employment opportunities, Bizbarcelona and the Employment Fair will be held jointly from September 21 to 23 at the Montjuïc venue with maximum safety and prevention measures. This double event, led and promoted by the Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa and other institutions and entities dedicated to the economic promotion of the territory, will feature more than 260 programmed activities – including conferences, workshops, advisory sessions, and networking spaces – some of which can be followed online.

Revitalize and adapt businesses

Bizbarcelona, the benchmark event for entrepreneurs and SMEs, this year structures its conferences, personalized advisory points, and networking activities around six thematic areas: Entrepreneurship; Growth; New Challenges, New Realities; Startups & Business Innovation; Talent Arena; and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It will also include an area with about 30 stands from entities, institutions, and companies offering tools, resources, and solutions for businesses, business management, marketing, and sales.

Talent, opportunities, and employment inclusion

For its part, and given the current situation, the traditional Youth Employment Fair this year becomes an Employment Fair for everyone, open to anyone seeking employment, self-employment formulas, or a career change. Thus, the Employment Fair will offer the possibility to get information, advice, and learn about the most in-demand job profiles in different sectors. Among its more than 125 activities are talks, conferences, workshops to successfully tackle the task of finding a job, individualized advisory spaces, as well as personalized career guidance services and defense of workers’ rights.

Autoocupació’s activities

Once again, Autoocupació will actively participate in Biz, advising entrepreneurs and offering a conference by Rafa Rodríguez from University of Change, which aims to motivate entrepreneurs to break through their own barriers to achieve their goals. It will take place on the 23rd from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Additionally, on the 22nd from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the presentation “SOS Mentoring: volunteers who save businesses” will be organized, explaining the new volunteer program to help entrepreneurs face the Covid-19 crisis. Regarding the Employment Fair, Autoocupació’s training service will promote the subsidized courses it offers, the occupational guidance service and the internship programs in companies, with the aim of helping them achieve their professional objectives. In addition, information will also be provided on the new program we have underway at Autoocupació for Active Insertion Measures for recipients of the Minimum Insertion Income.   Autoocupació invites you to BizBarcelona and the Employment Fair!
