Autoocupació celebrates the first online edition of Startup Huddle during GEW2020

Last Monday, November 16, Autoocupació held the fourth edition of Startup Huddle Barcelona within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020, bringing together more than 60 professionals from the world of entrepreneurship and mentoring. The event was inaugurated by Albert Colomer, president of Autoocupació, who then introduced the welcome speech by Francisco Polo, High Commissioner for Spain Entrepreneurial Nation. He delivered a motivational message on the importance of boosting innovative entrepreneurship and encouraged entrepreneurs to collaborate. Next, Guillem Arís, director of the Foundation, introduced the challenges for facing Covid-19 from two different entrepreneurial projects: Alberto Fernández presented Favors Barcelona, a mobile platform to connect Barcelona residents and exchange time; and Aurelio Peralta explained Creatica, a digital communication agency specializing in advertising, brand development, social media, e-commerce, and interactive experiences. The event, held online, concluded with networking between the participating entrepreneurs and mentors. About Startup Huddle Startup Huddle is a networking event where local communities help entrepreneurs solve their challenges. During the event, two entrepreneurs present, one by one, the challenges their projects face and receive feedback from attendees. Afterwards, a networking space is opened for everyone. Currently, this event is held in more than 50 cities in over 25 countries within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Network. Autoocupació is the representative of this network in Spain.   About Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 The Global Entrepreneurship Week is an initiative promoted by the Global Entrepreneurship Network every November in more than 170 countries with the aim of fostering an entrepreneurial culture and connecting local entrepreneurial ecosystems.
