Last Thursday, February 11, Autoocupació held the conference Boost your professional network for entrepreneurship, within the framework of the Mature Ideas program and with the collaboration of Barcelona Activa. The event was held online, from 10 AM to 1 PM, and gathered over 140 entrepreneurs over 40 years old.
Montse Basora, Director of Entrepreneurship at Barcelona Activa, was in charge of the opening along with Guillem Aris, Director of Autoocupació, who also hosted the event.
The objective of the initiative was to provide visibility and help consolidate businesses, highlighting the experience and contacts of those who become entrepreneurs after the age of 40, and introducing networking techniques and resources of interest for generating new projects.
The trainer and speaker Victor Küppers was responsible for opening the conference with his inspirational talk “The Importance of Attitude,” offering advice on maintaining the right attitude when launching new projects.
Next, attendees participated in a networking activity to create connections and bonds with each other, and then, Guillem Arís presented the practical workshop The Personal Boardroom, on how to build our own professional network.
Finally, the conference concluded with the presentation of three successful business experiences by individuals over 40: Sílvia Sabrià, CEO of Tick Translations, Albert Bauló, founder of Megàfon Cooperativa, and Cristina Fernández, a consultant specializing in training programs.
