Autoocupació promotes a career guidance and job placement project in Camp de Tarragona and Baix Penedès with the support of the Tarragona Provincial Council

December 4, 2025

Autoocupació has received a grant of 20,000 euros from the Tarragona Provincial Council to promote a career guidance and job placement project aimed at unemployed individuals in Camp de Tarragona and Baix Penedès. This project addresses the need to strengthen employment resources in areas with high unemployment rates and in municipalities that do not have their own career guidance services. The goal is to improve access to the labor market for groups facing particular difficulties. The program offers a comprehensive itinerary that includes:
  • Individualized career guidance to define professional goals and create personalized action plans.

  • Group sessions to develop soft and digital skills, as well as to gain a better understanding of the labor market and prepare for selection processes.

  • The project includes a virtual reality activity that allows for the practice of key skills in simulated work environments, facilitating the transfer of learning to professional life.

  • Job board and business prospecting service, which connects individuals and companies to identify new job opportunities.
  • Labor intermediation service ensures that each participant is referred to the most appropriate resources, strengthening networking with local entities.

The project is specifically aimed at women, young people, migrants, those over 45, and the long-term unemployed. Throughout 2025, more than 100 people will be served, with the goal that at least 20% secure employment, enter training, or continue in an active job search process. With the support of the Tarragona Provincial Council, Autoocupació continues to expand its impact in the region and strengthen its commitment to labor inclusion and socioeconomic development.
