Autoocupació’s mentoring program has recently been recognized as good practice by the European Microfinance Network (EMN). The EMN network is a non-profit organization that promotes microfinance as a tool to combat social and economic exclusion in Europe through self-employment, the creation of micro-enterprises, and the generation of new jobs.
Mentoring offers personalized support from entrepreneurs and professionals who volunteer their experience to help young entrepreneurs. According to the study conducted by PwC, the survival rate after 5 years for mentored companies is 87%, more than double the Spanish average.
This methodology is currently successfully implemented in over 50 countries worldwide thanks to the Youth Business International network. Specifically, in Spain, it receives support from the Youth Business Spain network.
The network currently has 112 members in 24 countries. Autoocupació has been a part of it since 2009.
