- Bizbarcelona closes its eighth edition with nearly 13,900 visitors.
- Autoocupació participated in the trade fair, advising entrepreneurs and offering various activities, conferences, and networking spaces.
Specifically, the Foundation organized two conferences; the first by Rafa Rodríguez from University of Change and the second led by Guillem Arís, director of Autoocupació, and Ana Bejarano, head of the Autoocupació mentoring service, who spoke with two mentor-entrepreneur pairs: the entrepreneurs from Comeet BCN, Oscar Piedehierro and Irene Garcia, and mentor David Xicota and Marc Palmucci, entrepreneur from Argven Technology and his mentor Montse Diviu.
The two pairs, formed thanks to the mentoring programs promoted by L’Hospitalet City Council and Cerdanyola City Council together with Autoocupació, explained what the mentoring service has contributed to their projects.
In addition, Autoocupació organized two experiential workshops with the aim of having participants take on new challenges: the “Macedònia Challenge”, where the skills of successful entrepreneurs were addressed, and the “Jenga Challenge”, where participants discovered the elements involved in a mentoring relationship between mentor and entrepreneur.
Reempresa, the marketplace for buying and selling small and medium-sized enterprises in Catalonia, an initiative of Autoocupació and the Cecot Employers’ Association, also played a prominent role by organizing a new feature at BizBarcelona; the first Elevator Pitch for businesses for sale at BizBarcelona, a space designed for business owners who want to sell their businesses to showcase them to potential successors.
