BANC has secured €2.3M in funding for some twenty projects in 2020

During 2020, the technical team of the Business Angels Network Catalonia-BANC worked to help mitigate the economic impact caused by the Covid-19 health crisis on the Catalan business fabric. The first Catalan network of private investors raised a total of €2.3M during 2020 and contributed to capitalizing €1.4M in equity, distributed across 10 operations for 7 business projects. Regarding aid processing, BANC collaborated with 12 projects, securing €926,000 in funding for innovation throughout last year. The twenty projects supported by BANC primarily belong to the ICT, agri-food, industrial, and cosmetics sectors. These are mostly Catalan companies, at the startup stage, innovative and with great growth potential. Since its establishment in 2003, BANC has helped 118 projects secure a total of €15.6M in equity, and has also achieved €7.5M in soft loans for 84 business projects.
