From April 15 to 18, the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) is organizing a new edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Bahrain, bringing together more than 3,000 attendees: entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and startups from over 100 countries. Through the event, the network aims to identify new ways to support the creation of new businesses and the possibility of scaling businesses anywhere in the world. For 4 days, GEC 2019 will offer an extensive program of conferences, workshops, discussion forums, and networking with the aim of connecting entrepreneurship leaders from around the world. This year, the congress focuses its program on 3 main axes: Global Entrepreneurial Revolution, High-Performance Ecosystems, Inclusive Economies.

Global Entrepreneurial Revolution

The global entrepreneurial revolution has consolidated in recent years and continues to build innovation and economic growth in cities worldwide. During GEC2019, participants will discover new perspectives to support entrepreneurs in communities and countries around the world by implementing emerging and innovative solutions and advancements that are changing the global business environment.

High-Performance Ecosystems

Local and community connection are the first two basic elements of growth for entrepreneurial ecosystems. Connectivity and global market reach are necessary for an emerging ecosystem that is exploited beyond its limits.

Inclusive Economies

Entrepreneurship is a key force for generating innovation, creating wealth, and improving lives in communities, cities, and countries, preventing place of origin, age, gender, place of residence, etc., from being an obstacle. Through the inclusive entrepreneurship approach, GEC2019 will explore the barriers for underrepresented groups and how they can be addressed.   Autoocupació, which has already collaborated with GEN leading the 2017 and 2018 editions of the Global Entrepreneurship Week Spain, participates in the congress representing GEN Spain. Albert Colomer, President of Autoocupació, and Guillem Arís, Director of Autoocupació, attend as delegates from the Spanish territory, participating as speakers in different sessions of the congress:   BUYOUT ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND M&A: KEY DRIVERS OF GROWTH April 17, 12:00 – 12:50, HUB 01 HARTMUT SCHNEIDER and ALBERT COLOMER   ESTABLISHING + SCALING HIGH-IMPACT MENTORING PROGRAMMES: A GLOBAL SUCCESS STORY April 16, 14:00 – 15:20, SESSION ROOM 04, JOANNA GRAY and GUILLEM ARIS   SPEED-MENTORING April 17, 09:00 – 16:30, Mentoring Lounge GUILLEM ARIS, JOANNA GRAY, CHRISTOPHER SCHROEDER, JEFF HOFFMAN, DAVID BARTHOLOMEUSZ, SAFA SHARIF, MICHAEL DAVID ROSS, STEPHANIE MARRUS, NIKHIL HIRDARAMANI, SHIV VIKRAM KHEMKA, ADRIENNE PALMER
