Grants to promote self-employment for young people registered with Youth Guarantee

  • Self-employed young people registered in the Youth Guarantee program can apply for a grant of up to €9,900

Barcelona, September 19, 2018 – From July 20, 2018, until October 15, 2018, young people previously registered in the Youth Guarantee program and registered as self-employed workers continuously between October 1, 2017, and October 15, 2018, can apply for the Grant to promote self-employment for young people registered in the Youth Guarantee program, issued by the Department of Labour, Social Affairs and Families of the Generalitat de Catalunya.     These grants aim to promote self-employment among young people starting an entrepreneurial activity and seek to guarantee a minimum income at the beginning of their business project. Youth guarantee self-employment grants   The maximum grant amount is 9,900 euros for each young person who has been registered with Social Security as a self-employed worker (RETA), under a special regime, or with the corresponding professional association’s mutual fund during the aforementioned 12-month period. Young people interested in receiving the grant must submit their application through the Generalitat de Catalunya procedures portal by the deadline of October 15, 2018.
