Heura (Foods for Tomorrow) wins the EmprenedorXXI Awards in Catalonia

Heura (Foods for Tomorrow) has won the EmprenedorXXI Awards in Catalonia, promoted by CaixaBank and co-awarded by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, through Enisa. Marc Coloma, CEO and founder, participated for two years in the Autoocupació mentoring program, framed within the Youth Business Spain program. Heura (Foods for Tomorrow) creates meat products with 100% plant-based ingredients, featuring fibrous and meaty textures. Its objective is to address the problems of the current food system, offering proteins with a positive impact on the world through sustainable and nutritious foods. Currently, its products are available in over 2,000 points of sale and are present in 6 countries. The prize includes a financial award of 5,000 euros and access to an international support program in Silicon Valley or an international business growth course at the University of Cambridge. The award was presented within the framework of Tech Spirit Barcelona, an initiative that emerged from the spontaneous reaction of Barcelona’s entrepreneurial community. In this edition, 186 companies participated in Catalonia, of which Filmarket Hub, a startup that also participated in Autoocupació’s mentoring program, was a finalist. Filmarket Hub is an online platform that offers matching services between the audiovisual industry and national and international private funding: an online marketplace for films and series in development.
