Lleida Covid-19 Business Grants

The Lleida City Council has published the call for applications for grants to boost economic recovery and ensure the continuity of economic activities in the municipality of Lleida that have been economically affected by the exceptional situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.   Eligible Individuals Self-employed individuals and companies affected by the crisis situation caused by COVID-19, when the following conditions are met:
  • The activity must have been registered at the time of entry into force of Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, which declared the state of alarm.
  • The company’s activity must have its registered office in the municipality of Lleida according to Hacienda’s form 036 or 037.
  • Must have suspended economic activity as a measure derived from the application of Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, which declared the state of alarm, or, for activities with permitted public opening, must demonstrate a minimum 50% reduction in turnover in the 2nd quarter of 2020 compared to the 2nd quarter of 2019, or compared to the average turnover of previous months in the case of less than one year of activity.
  • Have a turnover of less than €300,000 in each of the last 3 fiscal years.
  Excluded Activities Activities in the tourism sector as defined in Law 13/2002 of June 21, on Tourism of Catalonia, as well as hospitality and catering activities.   Grant Amount
  • The grant amount may not exceed 50% of the total eligible expenditure and/or investment, with a maximum amount of €1,200 per beneficiary.
  • To determine the grant amount, eligible expenditure and/or investment, the score obtained from the evaluation criteria, and budgetary availability will be taken into account.
  Eligible Expenses Current expenses: self-employment contributions; rent payments for premises, and in case of premises acquisition, mortgage payments; loan payments obtained to finance the activity; leasing or renting of real estate and/or movable assets directly linked to the activity. Investment expenses: for the adaptation of premises and facilities to implement preventive and safety measures to ensure the protection of workers and the general public against exposure to Covid-19. Investments and/or expenses for the digital transformation of companies: to promote the incorporation of new digital technologies by creating strategies that integrate physical and online sales.   Application Submission Deadline Submission period: From July 21 to July 30, 2020 Applications can only be submitted electronically through the Lleida City Council’s electronic headquarters.
