Lluís Carulla Award: Cultural Entrepreneurship

With the aim of stimulating and making viable cultural projects and ideas that transform and improve Catalan society, the Lluís Carulla Award biannually recognizes transformative projects and ideas across two categories. In addition to financial resources, the award offers cultural and business training and support, in impact assessment and communication, so that the initiatives are as transformative and economically viable as possible.  

Who can apply?

The Lluís Carulla Award is aimed at cultural entrepreneurs with cultural projects or ideas that seek to transform society.  

Endowment and Categories

  • Best Project: €60,000 for the development of the project, which must have as its explicit objective the transformation of people, communities, or territories through culture and the arts.
  • Best Idea: €25,000 for the incubation and prototyping of a cultural idea that proposes solutions to a societal need.
  • Endowment: €100,000: €85,000 for the development of the cultural project and idea, and €15,000 for business support.
