Last Monday, February 15, Autoocupació held the fifth edition of Startup Huddle Barcelona, dedicated to one of the sectors hardest hit by the Covid-19 crisis, tourism, and successfully bringing together more than 40 professionals from the world of entrepreneurship and mentoring.
The event was opened by Albert Colomer, president of Autoocupació, who welcomed attendees with a motivating message for entrepreneurs.
Next, Guillem Arís, director of the Foundation, presented a networking activity for attendees to create connections and bonds, and introduced the challenges of two different entrepreneurial projects: César Mayol presented Sandbeds, an online guide to beach clubs worldwide where users can book sunbeds or Balinese beds, among other services; and Joshua Molina explained Oasis Hunters, a platform for secret rural getaways of between one and three nights.
The event, held online, concluded with networking between the attending entrepreneurs and mentors.
About Startup Huddle
Startup Huddle is a networking event where local communities help entrepreneurs solve their challenges. During the event, two entrepreneurs present, one by one, the challenges facing their projects and receive feedback from the attendees. This is followed by a networking session for everyone. Currently, this event is held in more than 50 cities in over 25 countries as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Network. Autoocupació is the representative of this network in Spain.
