The mentoring service for entrepreneurs from Autoocupació offers a personalized and individual support process through which professionals with extensive experience or business owners acting as volunteers share their expertise with young entrepreneurs who have launched their business project.
Since 2013, Autoocupació has offered this service to young entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35, with the support of Youth Business Spain, the national network that combats youth unemployment by helping young people launch their business projects.
Specifically, during 2017, Autoocupació contributed to initiating 89 mentoring relationships involving 114 young people aged between 18 and 35. Furthermore, the program has been developed throughout Catalonia through Autoocupació’s 4 delegations located in the cities of Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona, and Lleida.
For this reason, the program coordination highly values the growth of the mentoring relationship network over the last three years, and it is expected that these positive results will be consolidated during 2018.
Through the mentoring service, Autoocupació addresses the objective of fostering the growth of businesses created by young entrepreneurs and promoting self-employment as an alternative model for professional and personal development.
