The mentoring program for entrepreneurs offered by Autoocupació is a personalized and individual support process through which professionals with extensive experience or business owners who have created their own company share their experience with young entrepreneurs.
The mentor’s task, offering their experience as a volunteer, focuses on helping young people starting their business project to develop their skills and grow the business. In this way, the young entrepreneur can expand their perspectives and horizons, enabling their personal and professional development.
The relationship between mentor and entrepreneur is based on establishing a space of trust and understanding that allows for the analysis and discussion of the business situation and the provision of tools to face and resolve the problems and concerns the entrepreneur may raise, asking critical questions instead of answering them, using active listening and assertiveness to strengthen the decision-making process and boost the entrepreneur’s self-confidence.
Autoocupació’s mentoring program follows a methodology developed by Youth Business International, which is currently applied in more than 45 countries worldwide.
