SOS Mentoring saves 400 businesses

SOS Mentoring, the volunteer program promoted by Autoocupació in response to the Covid-19 health emergency, has been a complete success: 400 businesses have joined to receive help from experienced professionals when making the necessary decisions to face the crisis. Around 500 volunteer entrepreneurs, professionals, and executives are already part of the SOS Mentoring program; they have already overcome more than one crisis and are committed to sharing their time and experience to help entrepreneurs, self-employed workers, and micro-business owners who are facing an unprecedented emergency and need support to safeguard their activity. Autoocupació has already paired the first 400 entrepreneurs and mentors in Catalonia. The beneficiaries come from many different business sectors: from catering and hospitality to publishing houses, shops, cultural and adventure companies, and advertising agencies, among others. Mentoring is carried out through online meetings, on a weekly or fortnightly basis for a period of 1 to 3 months, depending on the needs of the business. The voluntary nature of the mentors allows the service to be free of charge for users and ensures its scalability.
