On Monday, June 27, Autoocupació celebrated the eighth edition of Startup Huddle Barcelona, in a special summer edition, also taking advantage of the celebration of the National Business Day in Catalonia. The event gathered more than 40 professionals from the world of entrepreneurship and mentoring at the Auditorium of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park.

The event was inaugurated by Albert Colomer, president of Autoocupació, who welcomed attendees with a motivating message for entrepreneurs. Next, Guillem Arís, director of the Foundation, explained how Startup Huddle works and introduced the challenges of two different entrepreneurial projects:

Silvia Gómez presented Sens Solutions, a project involving intelligent systems for human health prevention. Attendees helped her with her challenge on how to implement a management structure to continue growing.

Secondly, Carles Porta explained Qualla Kids, an innovative system that is revolutionizing safety at school dismissal. The challenge he presented to Autoocupació’s entrepreneurial community was how to automate scaling in Spain and South America.

The event concluded with networking among the attending entrepreneurs and mentors.
