The Enginy Project presents 4 business projects from the tourism and leisure sector in theme parks.

A virtual assistant that allows for hotel check-in and check-out without going through reception; a consultancy specialized in data management and the implementation of home automation in hotels; an application that speeds up the wait at a restaurant and allows for booking, picking up meals, and paying from a mobile phone; and a technological platform designed for mass events that allows for quantifying and interacting with geolocated people. 4 business projects that the 12 entrepreneurs of the Enginy Project presented during the program’s closing ceremony. For 7 months, the Enginy Project, an entrepreneurship program specialized in theme parks, has provided participants with 150 hours of specialized training and 70 hours of mentoring with the aim of stimulating business creation in this sector. The program culminated in the presentation of the 4 finalist business projects that respond to the analysis of PortAventura World’s specific needs. The closing ceremony, held at the Auditori Diputació, was attended by the Deputy for Human Resources, Employment, and Entrepreneurship, Joan Josep Malràs; the Director of Autoocupació, Guillem Arís; the Head of the Tourism Innovation and Intelligence Laboratory of the Science and Technology Park for Tourism and Leisure of Catalonia, Jordi Calabuig; and the Human Resources Director of PortAventura World, Albert Sanantón.

In this regard, the Director of Autoocupació, Guillem Arís, highlighted that “the quality and potential of the projects presented highlight the need for joint work between public administrations, private entities, and companies in the field of entrepreneurship.” Through its participation in the Enginy program, Autoocupació has promoted entrepreneurship as a valid option in the labor market and has driven the creation of new business projects, helping individuals develop their professional vocations.
