June 4, 2019

  • Over two days, the trade fair will offer 200 training, advisory, and resource activities for entrepreneurs
  • Autoocupació will participate by providing advice to entrepreneurs and through the event’s program of conferences and activities
On June 12 and 13, the Montjuïc Venue of Fira Barcelona will host the ninth edition of Bizbarcelona by Barcelona Activa under the slogan “Let’s put business to work.” The event will bring together entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, and the self-employed who are part of the city’s business ecosystem with two objectives: to make entrepreneurs’ business projects a reality and to take existing businesses to the next level.BizBarcelona 2018 advice The new edition of Bizbarcelona, which this year will move to Hall 8 of the venue, will offer visitors tools, training, and resources through 200 activities and a commercial area with the participation of 70 exhibitors. Likewise, the trade fair will also feature the presence of entities, promoting institutions, and companies that offer services and resources for entrepreneurs, SMEs, and startups. In this regard, the director of Bizbarcelona, Aleix Planas, highlighted that “the event is the essence of the city’s entrepreneurial and business ecosystem, capable of transmitting the innovation, attitude, and values necessary to boost and update businesses.”

3 thematic pillars

This year, the trade fair will structure its program around three thematic blocks: Basics, Growth, and Trends. The first pillar will encompass tools, services, conferences, and activities aimed at people who want to transform a business idea into a company or are looking for a way to become self-employed. The second block, under the name Growth, will offer practical information so that existing SMEs can apply it in their day-to-day operations with the aim of boosting and growing their business activity. Finally, the Trends block will group together conferences dedicated to upcoming trends that shape the birth and development of businesses, such as technological, social, urban, and consumer changes… As well as issues linked to sustainability, social economy, CSR, marketing, and digital communication.

Autoocupació at Bizbarcelona

Once again, Autoocupació will actively participate in the trade fair by advising entrepreneurs and offering a conference by Rafa Rodríguez from University of Change, which aims to motivate entrepreneurs to break through their own barriers to achieve their goals. Reempresa, the marketplace for the buying and selling of small and medium-sized enterprises in Catalonia—an initiative of Autoocupació and the Cecot Business Association—will also play a prominent role, organizing activities for business buyers and sellers: conferences on how to value your company and the art of negotiation, finding the necessary financing to buy the ideal business, or the keys to transforming and growing your company. In addition, those who wish to sell or buy a company will have the opportunity to attend a new business elevator pitch or participate in the Reempresa matching space at Bizbarcelona.
