Up to €15,000 to promote the hiring of young people

A new call for Crea Feina has opened, a grant aimed at boosting youth talent and the competitiveness of companies in the city of Barcelona.

Beneficiaries and amount of aid

Companies and self-employed workers can receive aid of up to €8,000 for each new contract for young people under 30 and up to €15,000 for hiring staff with a doctoral degree. Regarding young people, the amount will vary depending on the gender or situation of the person hired: unemployed, first job, long-term unemployed, or at risk of exclusion. In both cases, the person hired must be registered as a resident in the city of Barcelona.

Requirements for participation

Companies or self-employed workers can apply for the grant if they meet the following requirements:
  • Have at least one work center in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
  • Have been operating for more than six months
  • Be up to date with payments of their obligations to the Barcelona City Council, the Tax Agency, and the Social Security
  • Not currently be affected by employment regulation processes.
  • Sign and formalize an indefinite, full-time employment contract. Contracts from January 1, 2024, that remain in force at the time of application will be considered.
