A new call for
Crea Feina has opened, a grant aimed at
boosting youth talent and the competitiveness of companies in the city of
Barcelona.
Beneficiaries and amount of aid
Companies and self-employed workers can receive aid of
up to €8,000 for each new contract for young people under 30 and
up to €15,000 for hiring staff with a doctoral degree.
Regarding young people, the amount will vary depending on the gender or situation of the person hired: unemployed, first job, long-term unemployed, or at risk of exclusion.
In both cases, the person hired must be registered as a resident in the city of Barcelona.
Requirements for participation
Companies or self-employed workers can apply for the grant if they meet the following requirements:
- Have at least one work center in the Barcelona metropolitan area.
- Have been operating for more than six months
- Be up to date with payments of their obligations to the Barcelona City Council, the Tax Agency, and the Social Security
- Not currently be affected by employment regulation processes.
- Sign and formalize an indefinite, full-time employment contract. Contracts from January 1, 2024, that remain in force at the time of application will be considered.
Deadlines and application
The deadline for submitting applications ends on
October 31, 2024.
