July 19, 2019

  • Autoocupació, the Spanish partner of the project, has organized the program’s third workshop in Barcelona, Spain.
  • During the meeting, the partners defined the pathways that will help 1,600 young people start their own businesses or enter the labor market.

For two days, the 8 partners of the Young Entrepreneurs Succeed program, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment, met in Barcelona to share knowledge, network, and advance the implementation of the Young Entrepreneurs Succeed program.

During the meeting held in Barcelona, the 8 partners defined the pathways that the program beneficiaries will follow and their respective objectives. It is expected that during the program, 1,600 young people who are not in education, employment, or training (NEETs) from Greece, Poland, Italy, and Spain will access training, coaching, mentoring, and financial services with the aim of creating and growing their businesses or entering the labor market.

Specifically, Autoocupació (Spain), Anka (Greece), Microfinanza (Italy), and Youth Business Poland (Poland) presented the implementation model of the program in their respective countries. In this way, through joint work and the discussion of proposals, the partners aim to optimize the beneficiaries’ pathway and improve its impact.

During the third meeting, the partners also set the indicators that will be used to analyze the needs of vulnerable young entrepreneurs and the gaps in the provision, design, and implementation of financial and non-financial services for this group. Furthermore, indicators were established to verify the effectiveness of the methodology and the pathways that the Young Entrepreneurs Succeed program will implement.

During the meeting, various best practices useful for the implementation of the Young Entrepreneurs Succeed program were also presented, including the mentoring program from Youth Business International, giving special importance to the role of the mentor and the role of the entrepreneur in a mentoring relationship.

Youth Business Poland will host the fourth meeting of the program partners, which will be held next November in Warsaw, Poland.
