Course Objectives
This course enables you to develop advanced language skills in English, both in comprehension and in spoken and written production, and to apply them in a wide range of communicative and professional contexts. It will help you understand expressions, structures, and cultural conventions so you can communicate with confidence and precision.
Content Plan
Module 1: Linguistic competencies
You will work on oral and written comprehension and expression in English, expanding vocabulary, grammar, and common structures. You will also improve pronunciation, punctuation, and the correct use of linguistic forms to communicate more confidently and fluently.
Module 2: Sociolinguistic and sociocultural competencies
You will gain a deeper understanding of the culture and society of English-speaking countries, including their traditions, customs, habits, and communication styles. This will help you better understand real-life contexts and communicate naturally with intercultural awareness and respect.
Module 3: Pragmatic competencies
You will learn to use English in real-life situations, adapting language according to context and communicative purpose. You will work on coherence, cohesion, and discourse structure to express yourself clearly, accurately, and effectively.
