Course Objectives
This course prepares you to master English in advanced contexts by expanding your vocabulary, consolidating the use of grammar, and improving the comprehension and production of spoken and written texts in both formal and informal registers. You will learn to communicate with precision, interpret and produce complex texts, and adapt language according to the sociocultural context.
Content Plan
Linguistic Competences
This module focuses on advanced English by expanding vocabulary, word formation, grammar, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, spelling, and phonetics. The aim is for learners to express themselves accurately and master both formal and informal registers.
Sociolinguistic and Sociocultural Competences
It promotes the understanding of cultural differences and linguistic registers, as well as the appropriate use of greetings, courtesy formulas, turn-taking, and idiomatic expressions according to the context.
Pragmatic and Discursive Competences
Communicative functions and speech acts are consolidated, along with textual coherence and cohesion in spoken and written texts, adapting them to personal, academic, and professional situations.
Qualification
This training program will provide students with the necessary preparation to sit for the official accreditation exams for the B2 level of the CEFR.
Upon completion of the training, an official certificate issued by the Consortium for Continuing Education of Catalonia is awarded, detailing the competencies acquired during the course.
