Grants for Business Solvency Support

A registration period has opened for companies and self-employed individuals to sign up and apply for the grants for business solvency support in response to COVID-19. These grants are intended to pay suppliers, cover fixed costs, reduce debts arising from economic activity, and, if there is a remaining balance, pay debts to banking creditors, with the aim of alleviating the impact caused by Covid-19 and supporting the solvency of the private sector in Catalonia.

Beneficiaries

Business owners or professionals and companies can pre-register if they:
  • carry out any of the economic activities included in the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE) that are listed in the order opening the pre-registration process.
  • have carried out and declared, or have had verified by the Administration, this activity during 2019 and 2020.
  • continue to exercise it currently,
  • and are in one of the following situations:
    • Apply the objective estimation regime (modules) in Personal Income Tax (IRPF).
    • The annual volume of operations declared or verified by the Administration, in Value Added Tax or another equivalent indirect tax in 2020, has experienced a decrease of more than 30% compared to 2019. This includes communities of property and civil partnerships.
    • Are consolidated groups that pay Corporate Income Tax under the consolidated tax regime and demonstrate a decrease in group activity of more than 30% in 2020 compared to 2019.

Grant Amount

The grant awarded will in no case be greater than the accredited debt. The amounts, within the maximum limits established by RDL 5/2021, will be:
  • if taxed by modules, up to €3,000 can be received
  • other companies and professionals may receive between €4,000 and €200,000

Deadline and Applications

From 9:00 a.m. on June 21, 2021, until 3:00 p.m. on June 30, 2021. Applications are submitted electronically via Canal Empresa, by filling out the formalized model available on their website or at the following link. The order of arrival of the registration application does not grant preference in the awarding of the grant. Therefore, applications can be submitted throughout the established period.
