- Young people who register as self-employed workers for a period of 12 months will be able to apply for the grant

The
Department of Labour, Social Affairs and Families of the Government of Catalonia has opened the call for applications for the
Grants to promote self-employment for young people registered with the Youth Guarantee program with the aim of facilitating employment for young people as self-employed workers and ensuring a minimum income at the start of their business activity.
From
July 23, 2019, until October 1, 2019,
young people between 18 and 29 years old previously registered with the
Youth Guarantee program and continuously registered as self-employed workers between October 1, 2019, and October 1, 2019, can submit their grant application.
The
maximum grant amount is 10,000 euros for each young person who has been registered with Social Security as a self-employed worker (RETA), under a special scheme or the mutual society of the corresponding professional association during the aforementioned 12-month period.
In the event of an early deregistration of the self-employed person after 8 months of registration, the grant amounts, considering full months, will be as follows:
