The Government of Catalonia has opened the call for applications for the granting of
grants to promote youth self-employment.
The objective is to foster self-employment, and the aid consists of a fixed grant of
up to 13,510 euros for each young person (between 18 and 29 years old, inclusive)
who registers as a self-employed worker for twelve months to guarantee a minimum income at the start of their economic activity.
To be eligible, applicants must
register continuously with the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA), the special regime for sea workers, the special regime for coal mining workers, or the corresponding professional association’s mutual society, for a period of twelve months.
Who can access the aid?
- Young people wishing to apply for the aid must be previously registered as unemployed job seekers with the Public Employment Service of Catalonia (SOC).
- The aid can also be requested by individuals registered in the Youth Guarantee program in the “beneficiary registered” status who have registered as self-employed workers from October 1, 2020, until the maximum date for submitting grant applications.
Those who will not be able to access it are all young people who, despite meeting the requirements, have already benefited from aid linked to the program to promote self-employment for
young people registered in the Youth Guarantee program between 2017 and 2020.
