New grant to promote youth self-employment

A new call for grant applications of 15,876 euros is now open for young people between 18 and 29 years old who start an activity as self-employed workers and maintain it for a minimum of 18 uninterrupted months. The objective is to help young people launch a professional project, thereby guaranteeing a minimum income at the start of the economic activity.

Requirements

  • Be between 18 and 29 years old, inclusive, on the start date of the activity as a self-employed person
  • Be registered in the Youth Guarantee Program, as an enrolled beneficiary, the day before the start date of the activity as a self-employed worker.
  • Have started the activity as a self-employed person at least one day before submitting the application
  • Maintain the economic activity for which the grant has been requested for a minimum of 18 months uninterruptedly. This must be proven with tax and/or billing information.
  • Have a tax residence in Catalonia and maintain it for at least the first 18 months.
  • During this period, carry out a training or support action that improves business management or is related to the professional activity.
  • Prepare a business plan
  • Not be employed by others either at the start of the activity as a self-employed worker or during the entire eligible period
