What you will learn
- Expand and consolidate vocabulary and idiomatic expressions in English, both in formal and informal registers.
- Master advanced grammatical structures and different types of sentences to communicate accurately.
- Improve the comprehension and production of oral and written texts in various contexts and formats.
- Apply communicative and sociocultural strategies to adapt language according to the interlocutor and the situation.
Goals of the course
This course prepares you to master English in advanced contexts, expanding your vocabulary, consolidating your use of grammar and improving your comprehension and production of oral and written texts in formal and informal registers. You will learn to communicate accurately, interpret and produce complex texts, and adapt language according to the sociocultural context.
Content Plan
Language skills
This module works on advanced English by expanding vocabulary, word formation, grammar, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, spelling and phonetics. The aim is for the student to be able to express themselves with precision and master formal and informal registers.
Sociolinguistic and sociocultural skills
It promotes the understanding of cultural differences and linguistic registers, the appropriate use of greetings, polite formulas, turns of speech and idiomatic expressions according to the context.
Pragmatic and discursive skills
Communicative functions and speech acts are consolidated, along with textual coherence and cohesion in oral and written texts, adapting them to personal, academic and professional situations.

Certification
This training program will provide students with the necessary training to be able to take the official accreditation tests for level B2 of the CEFR.
At the end of the training, an official certificate is obtained issued by the Consortium for Continuing Education of Catalonia, which details the skills acquired during the training.
